I remember how crazily broke I was in university…
I had to pluck unripe mangoes to eat one night (around 11PM) when I couldn’t get food to eat.
Today, even though I’m not where I’m going yet, I can only be hungry if I choose to. All glory to God.
One of the things that transformed my life is a book I read when I was in university.
I made up my mind that I don’t want to be poor. I cannot be poor.
You know, these things start with the MINDSET!
Every youth should read that book.
The book discusses asset and liability in such a way that a little child of 6 would understand.
Basically, asset is anything that gives you money and liability is anything that takes away money from you.
Poor parents don’t really know the difference between the asset and liability while rich parents understand the difference and teach their kids.
No wonder, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer!
The book title is ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ by Robert Kiyosaki.
WHY THIS STORY?
READING books have been one of the core secrets of successful people.
Bishop David Oyedepo read a lot of books to be where he is right now. He still reads.
Mark Zuckerberg & Bill Gates still read books up till today.
My mentor, Bayo Adeyinka, reads a lot. In fact, I remember a day he recommended ‘Outliers – The Story of Success’ by Malcolm Gladwell to me. I got the book at Christore Bookstore, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti state.
Some secrets can only be unveil in books.
Some prayers can only be answered in books.
In fact, some of our unanswered prayers are in the books that we have refused to read!
Do you want to be successful in life, business, relationship, leadership, etc? READ BOOKS!
By the way, let me recommend another book to you…
